Black Music Photos
As a result of diggin’ the web in the past couple of decades, I used to collect all the photos of my favorites black music artists and labels.
Here are the Soul Funk , Jazz and Blues photos galleries, including thousands of live stages, everyday life and portraits shot. Many of them display informations about photos locations, artists names, stories and fun facts.
For example, and as a huge fan, browsing The Temptations gallery would give you a very good idea of their lineup evolution: from Otis Williams & The Siberians in 1958 to The Reunion Tour lineup in 1982, through the great “Classic Five” lineup.
You’ll find releases of famous Soul, Funk, Jazz and Blues artists like Al Green, Aretha Franklin, Curtis Mayfield, Gil Scott-Heron, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Art Blakey, Billie Holiday, Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, George Benson, Herbie Hancock, John Coltrane, Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, Quincy Jones, B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Nina Simone, Ray Charles,… as well as lesser known black music artists.
Feel free to contact me if you’ve got more to add (or even to correct), I’d be really happy to improve 🙂
